Damian Lazarus

Drawn to the darkness, but buoyed by the light, Damian Lazarus is always ahead of the curve. Adriatique

Perhaps it was fate that brought Adriatique together. Both living in Zurich, both aspiring DJs, and both named Adrian S.; it was inevitable that Adrian Shala and Adrian Schweizer would meet in 2008 and instantly become friends. While one honing influences deriving from Detroit house and techno, the other dwelled in deep melodies and European techno. The chemistry of this destined duo is one you cannot miss at the Circus.

Luuk van Dijk

Some might call this rising Amsterdam-based house and tech-house artist an ‘old soul’. Luuk van Dijk’s sets are merely Puur, just like the club nights he hosts in his hometown of Hilversum. His sets are brimming with energy that is both old school and contemporary at the same time, and his unique sound will both tantalize and entertain you at the Circus.

Matador (live)

In just three short years, Dublin native Gavin Lynch – aka Matador – has exploded onto the techno scene. Jackmaster & Cinnaman

Back-to-back at the Amsterdam stage, they’ll go above and beyond the prescribed formula. You never know exactly what you’re going to hear with Jackmaster. The glorious element of surprise is crucial to his sets; the Numbers co-founder has more options up his sleeve than just about any other DJ out there. Cinnaman stands as one of the most talented and diverse DJs to emerge from Holland. You can’t really define Cinnaman’s style, it’s somewhere within the spectrum of house, garage, dubstep, UK funky, two-step, Detroit techno, and UK techno.

Melon

As one of Amsterdam’s key figures, Melon has created a unique profile over the last 20 years. Together, they play a colourful blend of house and techno, and their chemistry is one you can’t miss at the Amsterdam stage.

Steve Rachmad

After more than a quarter of a century involved in electronic music, it’s not an exaggeration to say that Steve Rachmad has been integral to the development of the scene in his native Netherlands. Most often associated with Detroit techno, warm pads, rousing strings, and powerful grooves, Steve is the producer, remixer, and DJ who among first championed such sounds in his home country. Steve Rachmad will make the walls of Amsterdam tremble to the ground with her infectious sounds.

Tom Trago

Tom Trago is an internationally renowned DJ, producer, and label owner with three critically acclaimed albums to his name. “I feel this physical need to make music every day. It’s like my body needs it as much as it needs food, water, or sunshine”. His trademark style is a blend of disco, boogie, synth funk, and Detroit techno with insatiable house rhythms. The Amsterdam stage will never be the same after this.

Artefakt (live)

Dutch duo Artefakt share a love for melancholic, hypnotic voodoo music. Robin Koek and Nick Lapien treat techno as an art form rather than a musical genre exploring a scope that surpasses functional dancefloor tools and bangers. This merging of worlds manifests in a versatile nature that is audible in the narrative selection of tracks that you will hear in their live set in the Basement.

Audion (live)

It’s been going on for nearly a decade: undercover of darkness, Matthew Dear, slips out of his usual guise as pop-music innovator and exercises his dancefloor demons through his constantly shifting alter-ego, Audion. The music he delivers with his live sets gets under your skin as his gritty vibes will both indoctrinate and thrill you within the quarters of our Basement.

Dorine Dorado

In 2001, Dorine Dorado made her debut as a dancer at age 24 alongside Amsterdam’s house-legend Quazar. It was only a year later that she found her place behind the electronic instruments with Quazar and WTTF founder, Gert van Veen. With her unique mix of minimal, techno, and house, she’s the first female DJ to become a resident of WTTF. The Basement wouldn’t be the same without her.

Invite

With over nineteen years of love for techno and performances, Tim van Paradijs, better known as Invite, is truly one of Holland’s few genuine household names. Invite translates his passion and drive for the darkest techno soundscapes into outspoken and highly versatile DJ-sets, which he is not afraid to show you in the Basement.

Monoloc

Monoloc is a techno fanatic. Ever since he made the transition from rock and heavy metal to electronic music as a teenager, the Frankfurt-born artist has dedicated his life to the dance floor. His raw yet sleek take on techno has earned him a global following and the reputation to boot which you must witness in the flesh in the Basement.

Roman Poncet

The young and talented Roman Poncet is a French DJ and producer who has been releasing on Len Faki’s ‘Figure’ label. Once Roman unleashes his dark, driving, manipulated soundscapes to the masses, he’ll have the Basement turned completely upside down.

SHDW & Obscure Shape

Marco Bläsi and Lui Urban, better known as SHDW & Obscure Shape, founded ‘From Another Mind’, a record label and party which brought together their favourite artists to their hometown of Struttgart. Together, they shape and fuse old-school influences of acid, rave, and EBM with a dramatic techno sound which they will bring to the Basement.

Boris Werner

Dutch DJ and producer Boris Werner’s love for house music runs deep, so deep, that his passion is evident in every set he plays. He’s a charismatic leading figure in the house music scene who is forever young at heart. Blending all strains of house from percussive funk to bass heavy grooves, delivered with effortless ease. His sparkling personality, daring diversity, and a well-honed ear for delivering a memorable party can be experienced at our cosy Garden.

DJ Seinfeld

Inspired by the famous American sitcom, Sweden born Armand Jakobsson – aka DJ Seinfeld – has been on the rise in the electronic realm. Don’t let the name fool you, though his identity may appear to strike you as comedic and foolish, his music is a dose of pure expertise and brilliance. Seinfeld’s emotionally tenor ambient house is his signature sound; one you don’t want to miss at the Garden.

Fouk

Fouk was the creation from two successful producers on their own merits. Having been friends since childhood, a collaboration between Daniel Leseman & Junktion (Hans Peeman) was inevitable. Their house sounds infused with disco and funk has proved to be very infectious, so don’t be surprised once you lose all control at the Garden.

Prunk & Chris Stussy

If you missed Prunk at the House stage, this is your chance for the ultimate redemption. Leiden-based DJ and producer Chris Stussy is establishing his name in the dynamic electronic music world. His style comes heavily from Chicago-house influences such as Kerri Chandler, who is one of his true inspirations. Together, they’re irresistible, so make sure you catch these two when they’re on the loose at the Garden.

Ross from Friends (live)

Drawing influence from early experimental music, 80s pool club synth jams, hip-hop sampling, and anything with a four to the floor thump, South London-based Ross from Friends devises his own interpretation of techno and house to make you move. Get ready, because Ross from Friends is ready to transform the Garden into Central Perk for the live-set of a lifetime.

Wesley Roberts

When it comes to Wesley Roberts: “Home is where house is!”. Since being immersed into Amsterdam’s dynamic music culture in 2008, Wesley found his home at Studio 80 after falling in the love with the underground sound. Music is all about feeling and emotion, and that’s exactly how Wesley will make you dance into the future on the beautiful hills of Het Twiske at the Garden.

Albīno is a DJ that doesn’t play for his crowd, but with his crowd. This Amstelveen-born DJ is also known as his alter-egos ‘Microove’ and ’NOAH’ and he’s the owner of VLOW Minded Productions. He’s been busy working on a new album which highlights his unique sound, which can be described as an obscure form of hypno, tribal, micro house
and dub techno. You can hear it live when he sparks magic in the Forest at the end of July.

Anonym

The Forest holds many secrets that cannot be explained, such as Anonym. As his name suggests, while we know very little about Anonym, we do know that he hails from the legendary Motor City, and the true essence of this can be heard and felt in his music. His classic Detroit sounds constructed with a modern touch are gritty, raw, and crying out for sweaty dark basements.

Florinsz Janvier

In a small corner between the trees of Twiske, you’ll find a mystical creature called Florinsz Janvier. Since entering into this world when a reel of unfinished film was stolen during a studio fire, the reel was long considered lost in flames, but has recently resurfaced. His music is a journey of purification described by some as close to holy, which is best experienced when submerged within the organic Forest essence.

Kabale und Liebe & Lauhaus

Having started his DJ career 20 years ago in Amsterdam playing illegal parties and underground raves, Lauhaus went on to become a resident of some of Amsterdam’s finest clubs including: Studio 80, Melkweg, Club 11, and Mazzo. In 2009, Kabale und Liebe and Lauhaus started Soweso Records, and just like their DJ sets, the label’s sound became synonymous with “a fine line between house and techno and a love for the underground”. As partners in crime for the night, Lauhaus and Kabale und Liebe will make you get lost within the borders of the lush Forest.

Will Oirson

Will Oirson is considered to be one of the biggest emerging DJ-talents of the Netherlands.
