GETTING THERE

Welcome to the Future can be easily reached by bike, we have a special bike parking near the festival entrance. Cycling from Amsterdam Central Station will take you around 35 minutes.
Just take the ferry ‘Buiksloterweg’ behind Amsterdam Central Station. Once across the water, please follow the signs! Extra ferries will be deployed from and to Amsterdam Central Station, on top of the normal schedule.

Please take the train to Amsterdam Sloterdijk.

Shuttle buses will operate between Amsterdam Sloterdijk Station and Welcome to the Future. The first buses depart at 11:30 and they will continue driving back and forth throughout the duration of the festival.

This year, the shuttle bus will take a different route than in previous years. The route in Het Twiske will be mostly free of other festival traffic, and the shuttle buses will always have priority over other traffic.

A return ticket between Sloterdijk and Welcome to the Future costs €8,-. You can buy your shuttle bus ticket in our ONLINE TICKETSHOP or at the bus stop on July 21st.

Leaving the festival?
For your return trip back to Sloterdijk, keep in mind that there might be a waiting time of 30 minutes.

There’s very limited parking space at Het Twiske. We recommend you to come to the festival by shuttlebus, touring car or by bike. If you travel by car, please make sure to carpool in order to save parking space for others.

Please purchase your parkingticket online in our ticketshop. At the festivalterrain you can only purchase parkingtickets using cash.

The easiest way to get to Het Twiske is via the “Ring West” highway A10 towards Haarlem/ Zaanstad. After the Coentunnel, keep left and follow the signs for E22/A8 in direction Zaanstad/ Purmerend/ Leeuwarden.
Take the first exit: 1. Oostzaan/ Zaandam-zuid/ Het Twiske. Keep left and always follow the sings in direction ‘Het Twiske’.

Parking tickets are available in our online ticket shop at our ONLINE TICKETSHOP in the weeks before the event.

Once you’re in the surroundings of Het Twiske, please follow the signs and instructions of our traffic controllers.

All parking lots are located inside Het Twiske this year (no external parking). There will be different parking lots, with different entry routes. Because of the different entry routes, you might be instructed to enter Het Twiske via a small detour.

Please bear in mind that July 21st is the first day of Summer holidays in the North of Holland, so expect more traffic than usual. Like at all large events, please take waiting times of at least 1 hour into account when leaving the festival.

If you want to use your GPS to come to the festival, please fill in the following destination: Pikpotweg 1, Oostzaan.

After the festival has ended, the amount of available taxi’s will be scarce. This can lead to high queue times and increased fare prices. We recommend you to take the shuttlebus for a smooth homeward journey.

If you do choose to take a taxi, please use Pikpotweg 1, Oostzaan as destination, and follow the “Kiss & Ride” signs.

The UBER pick-up point is located outside of Het Twiske. Please keep in mind that waiting times are increased after the end of the festival.

Leaving the festival?
Follow the Uber signs to find your driver quickly at the special Uber pick-up point location. The Uber app will point you towards this pick-up point as well.
