Yes, tickets for Welcome to the Future 2018 are not bound to the specific name mentioned on the ticket, so if you’re unable to join us at the festival yourself you can easily give your ticket to a friend.
Please do. We cannot guarantee that our ticket scanners are able to scan the ticket from your phone screen directly.
Unfortunately, tickets are nonrefundable, but you can resell them yourself.
Welcome to the Future can be easily reached by bike, we have a special bike parking near the festival entrance. Cycling from Amsterdam Central Station will take you around 25 minutes.
Just take the ferry ‘Buiksloterweg’ behind Amsterdam Central Station. Once across the water, please follow the signs! Extra ferries will be deployed from and to Amsterdam Central Station, on top of the normal schedule.
Shuttle buses will operate between Amsterdam Sloterdijk Station and Welcome to the Future all day. The first buses depart at 11:30 and they will continue driving back and forth throughout the duration of the festival.
This year, the shuttle bus will take a different route than in previous years. The route in Het Twiske will be mostly free of other festival traffic, and the shuttle buses will always have priority over other traffic.
A return ticket between Sloterdijk and Welcome to the Future costs €8,-. You can buy your shuttle bus ticket in our ONLINE TICKETSHOP until Thursday, July 189h or at the bus stop on July 21st.
Leaving the festival?
For your return trip back to Sloterdijk, keep in mind that there might be a waiting time of 30 minutes.
There’s very limited parking space at Het Twiske. We recommend you to come to the festival by shuttle bus, touring car or by bike. If you travel by car, please make sure to carpool in order to save parking space for others.
You can purchase your parkingticket online in our ticketshop until Thursday, July 19th. At the festival terrain you can only purchase parkingtickets using cash.
Enter “Noorderlaaik 2, Oostzaan” as your GPS destination. If you are in the surrounding of the festivalterrain, please always follow the instructions of our ground staff and signing.
Once you’re in the surroundings of Het Twiske, please follow the signs and instructions of our traffic controllers.
All parking lots are located inside Het Twiske this year (no external parking). There will be different parking lots, with different entry routes. Because of the different entry routes, you might be instructed to enter Het Twiske via a small detour.
Please bear in mind that July 21st is the first day of Summer holidays in the North of Holland, so expect more traffic than usual. Like at all large events, please take waiting times of at least 1 hour into account when leaving the festival.
After the festival has ended, the amount of available taxi’s will be scarce. This can lead to high queue times and increased fare prices. We recommend you to take the shuttle bus for a smooth homeward journey.
If you do choose to take a taxi, please use Noorderlaaik 1, Oostzaan as the destination, and follow the “Kiss & Ride” signs.
The UBER pick-up point is located outside of Het Twiske. Please keep in mind that waiting times are increased after the end of the festival.
Leaving the festival?
Follow the Uber signs to find your driver quickly at the special Uber pick-up point location. The Uber app will point you towards this pick-up point as well.

Organizing your own bus trip to Welcome to the Future?

You can’t enter after 22:00, ins-and-outs are not allowed.
Our food line up for this year has already been released, so we won’t accept any more additions.
All areas are accessible by wheelchair. We have disability toilets available on the terrain.

There will be a wide variety of food trucks serving you at Welcome to the Future. Everything will be cooked with love and the freshest ingredients. And, as always, organic only! You will also find crafts vendors scattered throughout the festival terrain.

At Welcome to the Future, you pay for your food and drinks with tokens. You can purchase these tokens using cash, your debit card or credit card (Visa, American Express, Master Card) at the clearly signed cashier units.
Yes, lockers are available, every locker fits up to three coats. You can find them right near the entrance.
Yes, you can find them scattered all over the terrain and you can use them for free.
Yes, please check the floorplan upon arrival for the exact location of the tobacco sale points.
Yes, during the festival you can find the lost & found at the information stand, located near the main stage. You can contact the lost & found after the festival by emailing to email@example.com. Please describe your lost item in detail.
You can get free tap water at the multiple water bars on the festival area, which you can find near each toilet group. You can also buy refillable water bags at these water bars.

Not feeling well during your dance routine? Don’t hesitate to contact one of our security guards; they’ll guide you towards our First Aid. You can also go here for a simple bandage or aspirin, or simply just to cool down.
Recently gave birth and need a place to pump? We got mom’s needs covered. Bring your breast pump to the First aid stand for a private place to pump.
Yes, you can buy them at the special earplug stands, which you can find next to the Information desk. You can also buy them at every bar.
